MySpace is a popular social networking website in which audiences can create their own personal profile page offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos internationally.
CONTENTS OF THE VICE MYSPACE PROFILE
Vice is a free glossy magazine that covers contemporary independent arts and youth culture. The magazine's readership is comprised of young postcollegiate bohemians, often labelled "hipsters." Known for its controversial content, it often strikes a sardonic and ironic pose on debauchery, sex, drugs, violence, and social issues involving race and economic class.

Blurbs, blogs, multimedia
In the top left corner of the page is a box containing the profiles title (VICE MAGAZINE), default picture (the current issue) and a brief summary of the genre, where they are situated (United Kingdom, London), the number of profile views (138184), the date last logged in (20/04/07) and the tagline “VICE: publishing, films, tv, recordings, online”
Beneath this is a box containing a list of different ways to get in contact with vice magazine and the option to add them as a friend, to a group, as a favorite or forward them to a friend.

The profile contains an ‘About VICE MAGAZINE’ section in which they give a brief introduction to how the magazine got started up, links to their official website and the advertisement for an up-coming tour they are running.
Running down the left hand side this is a section containing general information on vice magazine containing promotional videos and photographs.
Friend Space
The Friends Space contains a count of a user's friends, a "Top Friends" area, and a link to view all of the user's friends. The VICE has chosen 8 friends to be displayed on their profile in the "Top Friends" area.

Comments
Below the Friends Space is the "comments" section, wherein the user's friends may leave comments, photos or videos for all viewers to see.
Music
MySpace profiles for musicians are different from normal profiles in that artists are allowed to upload MP3 songs. Unsigned musicians can use MySpace to post and sell music, which has proven popular among MySpace users.
The vice magazine myspace page has used this feature to promote songs from a band called The Black Lips an indie pscyhedlic rock band who are signed to their label VICE RECORDS.
Beneath this they also have a list of upcoming shows for the next few months of The Black Lips, other bands on their label and the club nights that they run ‘VICE KILLS’.

Bulletins
Bulletins are posts that are posted on to a "bulletin board" for everyone on a MySpace user's friends list to see.
The VICE myspace page has used this a service for delivering information on upcoming shows and events, updates to their site, competitions and new issues of the magazine.
Groups
MySpace has a Groups feature which allows a group of users to share a common page and message board. Groups can be created by anybody, and the moderator of the group can choose for anyone to join, or to approve or deny requests to join.
Pictures
By clicking on their default picture you are able to see more pictures which they have uploaded to the page which include covers of past issues, photos from the ‘vicelive’ tours and photography featured in the magazine. By enlarging the individual pictures you can see a list of comments left on it by previous visitors.
