CASESTUDY 11. FAN WEBSITE - THE SPICE GIRLS

'SPICE GIRLS FANATIC'

Spice Girls fanatic is a fansite created by fans of the legendary 90’s girl band The Spice Girls.

A brief introduction to the site is given on the homepage:
“During their world domination throughout the 90s and into the 21st century, the Spice Girls have won over millions of fans with infectious music beats and transformed a generation of "80's babies" into hardcore worshippers and clinically obsessed fanatics. Under the influence? We hope so. While they've lost fans along the way; many suffering from suicidal depression [as of May 31, 1998] or having allegedly "grown up," and now prefer crap music, a portion of us have remained dedicated since day one. From "zig-a-zig-ah" to "Goodbye," the Spice Girls have poisoned countless lives of unsuspecting fans who don't seem to mind. Whether your prefer Scary, Baby, Ginger, Posh or Sporty, hold your head up- you're high class and better than everyone else! You rock, you Spice Girls fanatic.”
